Het Waterliniemuseum Fort bij Vechten kondigt met enthousiasme de tentoonstelling ‘Sporen’ van kunstenaar Herman H. van Doorn. Vanaf 11 november 2023 is deze indrukwekkende tentoonstelling te zien. Naast van Doorn zijn interpretatie van het nu, zijn ter verdieping ook foto’s uit het verleden toegevoegd.

Herman H. van Doorn legt met zijn camera de wereld vast zoals die is. Het landschap in beweging, gevormd door sporen die de mens achterlaat. Die dynamiek is wat hem prikkelt en dit is precies wat hij ervaart tijdens een vakantie in noordoost Frankrijk. In Verdun is geschiedenis vastgelegd in het landschap en in het menselijk geheugen. Hij raakt geïnspireerd door de grenzeloze natuur die sporen laat vervagen, verdwijnen en een nieuw verhaal creëert. De foto’s zijn getuigen van onze nalatenschap waarin het onzichtbare weer zichtbaar wordt.
